LOGIC STEM BOUNCING - KEYBOARD MAESTRO MACRO

DOWNLOAD

ABOUT THIS MACRO
-----------

I (Steve Pardo) made this because I couldn't figure out a way to automate bouncing stems with the master FX printed (without paying $200 for that one tool). Keyboard Maestro is a lot cheaper and worth it for this automation alone. This macro will easily print stems along with any aux reverbs or whatever and Master FX like a boss. You can customize it though to your liking ... Keyboard Maestro rocks.

DISCLAIMER

If this doesn’t work and you get in trouble because you delivered bad audio files it’s not my fault. Always check your work. Command+S for life.

INSTRUCTIONS
-----------

1) Install keyboard maestro (it's like $36, free trial)
https://www.keyboardmaestro.com/main/

2) File > Import > import the macro

3) Open Logic, and get your session ready to bounce like you normally would.

4) Arrange your session so that the tracks/groups you want to bounce are in the Main Window consecutively in a row. This might require some thought but it's probably a good idea that you arrange stuff like this anyway. The macro literally presses the down arrow to move to the next track/bus.

5) In Logic, highlight the first track/group you want to stem. Do not solo it or anything.

6) The shortcut currently is set up for 3 stems. If you want more, you'll want to duplicate the current shortcut and add more actions. Yes this is a mild pain but golly this is going to make you so happy I promise. Under "Will execute the following actions", right-click on the "Stem 02" group and hit "Duplicate" for however many stems you want. For each additional stem you make, open the group, and you will want to rename the group and rename the Track name text (the third to last command in the group). You will also want to rename the final group/stem. Don't forget to rename the new macro to whatever new amount of stems you're printing. See that wasn't that hard.

6) You should be ready. Hit "Run".
